The holiday break is the best time to become lazy, sit around and do nothing. This is the time for doing nothing apart from napping. So, what you should be doing for holiday break?
The number one thing you should be doing while on holiday break is sleeping. Take long naps and get some rest. You deserve some rest after hard work, studying and doing all kinds of crazy stuff. You deserve it, buddy. So, don’t worry about wasting time, because it is not wasted. Every soul needs time to rejuvenate, regenerate and refresh.
2. Apply for scholarships and internships
Apart from sleeping and napping, there are other things you can do when you are feeling refreshed, like applying for scholarships and internships.
Exercise has a big impact on refreshing your mind and body. Plus, naps are much better after a proper workout. You can go to the gym or do some home workouts. I prefer to train at home (because it is so cold outside) using my Karate Kata’s and some fitness cardio exercises, like burpees.
4. Catch up with your old friends
Catch up with your old friends you haven’t seen in a long time and have an incredible time together. Don’t drink too much — it will hurt your napping and exercise.
5. Go and see a great movie
Watch Star Wars 10 times. That is some quality time well spent.
6. Read and educate yourself
Read and educate yourself in something different. You can just read Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit, or you can find something that interests you, that you have no knowledge of, but you would love to learn it. I usually learn languages and sleep afterwards, so I would remember the language better when I wake up.
7. Plan your schedule for the next semester and create a great game plan!
8. Remake your resume
Remake your resume, cover letter and essays because you never know when you are going to need them. Also, you can work on all other important documents you need to finish. After that, take a nap.
9. The holiday break is the perfect time to spend with your family!
You can also spend some of your free time volunteering somewhere. There are many volunteering options out there, and volunteering is one of the most fulfilling ways to spend your holiday break.
